Having recently secured a new facility with NCI Insurance offering a Horse Insurance ‘Package’ which automatically includes Public Liability, Personal Accident and Saddlery and Tack cover, this exciting new option combined with our existing agencies (KBIS, SEIB and Petplan Equine) enables us to source the most suitable policy to fit your needs – and budget!
Various levels of cover and excesses are available in respect of Veterinary Fees. The new ‘Package’ policy also provides you the security of having cover in the event of a claim for protection towards Hospitalisation, Transportation costs and Alternative Treatment which is recommended by a vet. Plus there is the choice to include additional extras like Legal Expenses and Loss of Use. Let us know what you require and we will match you with the most suitable policy.
NCI have secured a delegated authority binder which allows NCI to offer its own exclusive policy wordings and pricing via Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance. Formed in 2014 through the integration of Kiln and Tokio Marine Europe, Tokio Marine Kiln has been founded on empowered expertise and the strength of its relationships. As part of one of the world’s largest insurance groups, Tokio Marine Group employ more than 700 employees in 21 cities to protect customers against complex and ever changing risks. TMK have seven underwriting divisions focused on Specialist Property, Liability & Motor; Corporate Property & Liability; Construction; Marine & Enterprise Risk; Aviation & Space; Accident, Health & Life; and Reinsurance products, which are complemented by a first class claims team with a wealth of Bloodstock and General Equestrian Experience.
Kiln and NCI have worked together to develop a packaged cover offering for horses and ponies insured at less than £5,000. Whilst there are several package offerings, each one gives the client the levels of cover required to enable all round security for the risk proposed whilst allowing the choice to suit individual budgets. There is also an offering of a tailored “build your own” policy.
Wills’ services were acquired by NCI in order to oversee the Development of their new Equestrian Product offering. Will brings a wealth of technical equestrian knowledge to the product having worked in the racing industry for 10 years, including a period of race riding, before venturing into the Equestrian and Bloodstock Insurance Market. He has worked at several insurers during his 14 years in this market including NFU Mutual, Towergate AIUA and Rural Insurance where he developed a £2Million equestrian account.

“On making my claim, Melanie at EWIS explained the entire process to me and sent me out the relevant forms to provide to the Vet. The ability of the insurance company to pay the vet directly took an enormous financial stress away. While the situation was very upsetting, EWIS communicated throughout the process by phone and email, and while I was nervous about submitting such a significant claim, Melanie was confident, calm and supported me with all the paperwork. I have both of my children’s ponies insured, and after such a positive experience at a very distressing time, I wouldn’t choose to insure with anyone else.”
