Although not compulsory, Public Liability Insurance is recommended for anybody running a livery yard.

This covers you for any injury to any person entering your premises and also provides cover for any damage caused by horses to third party.

If you are providing part or full livery, you should seriously consider extending your cover to include Care, Custody and Control.

This covers you should you be accused of injuring any horse, either by your action or by injury caused by faulty facility at your premises.

Employers Liability Insurance is compulsory where you are employing any individual or are providing some form of reward for work carried out on your premises.

We are able to offer cover for stand alone Liability Insurance with Equestrian Underwriting Agencies, KBIS British Equestrian and City of London Underwriting Agencies, all of whom we have agency facilities.

Rural Insurance Group can offer Livery Yard Liability cover at very competitive premiums, but they do require the insurance of any buildings on the livery yard site.
